Giovanni's Digital Watermarking Approach
Architectural Advantages |
|
| Encoder and the related key | Blue
Spike's watermarks are embedded using a Giovanni encoder and a separate,
uniquely identified cryptographic key, putting all security outside each
embedded copy. The key includes critical information, not only describing
the message in the watermark but also providing a map of the location of
each embedded message. |
| Random Location | By means of Blue
Spike's uniquely created key, the watermark can be embedded and repeated
in random locations throughout the entire signal, making it harder for potential
pirates to detect. |
| Decoder and the related Key | When decoding Blue
Spikes watermarked content, the user must have the Giovanni decoder
and the original uniquely identified cryptographic key. Without the related
key, which is held only by the content owner, the embedded watermark cannot
be read or falsified. |
| No False Positives | Only authentic information
will be decoded from a signal with a Giovanni decoder and the related key.
If the original watermarked information is altered or removed, the related
key and decoder will indicate that a breach has occurred. |
| Embedding Process | Blue Spike's Watermarks are embedded using a psycho-acoustic model, which identifies both perceptually significant and insignificant parts of the signal, making Blue Spike’s watermarks imperceptible, difficult to alter or remove, and robust. |
